Terms of use
Effective date: 2026-10-15
These terms govern your use of StraightCue, the app and website at straightcue.com and app.straightcue.com, operated by Comotoca (comotoca.com), Spain ("we"). By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use StraightCue.
The service
StraightCue is a training tool for pool players: a library of drills with diagrams, an editor for your own drills, a way to record practice sessions and tests, and progress over time. We may change, add or remove features. Some features require a StraightCue Pro subscription; the app shows which.
Your account
You need an account, created with an email address and password or with Sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us a working email address: verification and password-reset links go there. You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your country requires it. One person, one account. You may delete your account at any time in the app; deletion is immediate and permanent (see the privacy policy).
Subscriptions
StraightCue Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, through Apple's App Store. The price is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase and at each renewal, 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before. You manage, cancel and request refunds for the subscription with Apple, not with us; Apple's terms govern the purchase. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. We may change prices for future periods with notice through the App Store. A subscription belongs to one StraightCue account at a time: the account that most recently bought it in the app. Restoring purchases on a different StraightCue account does not move it; sign in to the account that bought it.
Your content
Drills, notes and other content you create stay yours. You give us the licence we need to store, display and process them in order to run the service for you. You are responsible for your content: do not upload anything you have no right to, anything unlawful, or anything that harasses others. Curated drills, diagrams, texts, the apps and the service are ours or our licensors' and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute them.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break into, overload, reverse engineer or disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, use it to send unsolicited messages, or use automated means to access it other than through the public API as documented. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where practical.
Availability and warranty
StraightCue is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we do not promise that any training will improve your game. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profit, arising from your use of StraightCue, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
Ending
You may stop using StraightCue and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend the service, or your access to it, for a breach of these terms or if we discontinue StraightCue; in the latter case we give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.
Changes
We may change these terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date and, for a material change, tell you in the app before it applies. Continuing to use StraightCue after that date means you accept the change.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection where you live. Disputes go to the courts of Spain unless the law gives you the right to sue where you live.
